Appreciation
Dan:
I wanted to personally
thank you for helping make my dreams come true.
Several years ago I
competed on the Mississippi & Louisiana Hunter/Jumper circuit and had
one of the best years of my riding career with 3 year end division
champions. I moved to
Texas
the following year and decided to compete on the
Texas
circuit and leased a grand-pre jumping horse.
The day before my first show we were doing practice jumps and my
horse refused the first jump. Unfortunately
I continued over the jump and landed on my right shoulder tearing the
ligaments behind my right shoulder blade and breaking my L1 vertebra in 4
places and compressing it to 26 degrees.
After 10 weeks of wearing a body brace I was ready to ride again
but found I had become a very timid rider, afraid to go faster then a trot
or a very slow canter and terrified to jump more then 2 feet.
Over the next 7 years I would tell myself I would get back to the
rider I was before the accident, full of adventure and confidence, but I
could never get over my fears. Jumping
& competing again were just a dream.
A friend told me about
your training and suggested I attend one of your seminars.
As you know my friend and I spent 4 days at your place riding from
sun up to sun down. I told you
I wanted to ride again without fear and to put me on anything.
You took me at my word and I can’t tell you how happy I am that
you did. By the end of the
third day I was cantering my horse and your horses across open fields,
working cows, going up & down the pyramid with a confidence I have not
had in several years. Not only
did you help me with my riding but my horse of 10 years has never been
better. He has more confidence
in me and now I know there is nothing the two of us can’t do together.
Thank you very much for
making my dream a reality and helping me became the ride I use to be.
I would highly recommend your riding clinics to all levels of
riders and horses. The
confidence gained by the rider and horse are priceless.
Sincerely,
Tamara Mills
