Dear Dan,

            Thank you for your excellent work with Simon.  He has been a tough cookie for me, and has just seemed to be over-reactive to anything out of his comfort zone.

            The two months he spent with you have helped us immensely.   His ground manners are impeccable now, and under saddle, his work ethic is vastly improved.  You did just what he needed by exposing him to lots of new pressures and challenges.  

            I took him to a little hunter/jumper show recently, and he did not put a foot wrong.  He marched around his hunter courses, and behaved like an angel in his undersaddle class.  He ended up reserve champion in his division.  Before I brought him to you, he had blown up in an undersaddle class, was kicking out for his lead change, and was generally spooky at shows.  I was so pleasantly surprised how “show ready” he was after his time with you. 

            It was a pleasure working with you, and in addition to getting a nicer Simon, I got a lot out of the lessons with you.  Your training tips have been useful, not just on Simon, but on my other horse too.   Simon is more confident, and I feel more safe!

            I will definitely be sending my two year old to you next spring, and have been recommending you to all my hunter/ jumper friends.

            As soon as I get a good picture of me jumping him, I will send it to you.  You would have been very proud of him at the show.  I will keep you posted with his progress.
